Four-Part Body of Research —
The Impact of California’s Legislation SB 826

Original analysis led by Mine The Gap for California Partners Project

California became the first state in the United States to legally require public companies headquartered in the state to add women board directors with legislation that was signed into law in 2018. Boards with six or more directors must have at least three female directors, boards of five must have at least two, and boards with four or fewer members must have one. Mine The Gap advised California Partners Project on their four-part research series analyzing the impact of this first-in-the-nation.

We take great pride in this project because of the groundbreaking results it has already had — and will have — long into the future.
